The congregation is a wonderful mix of interesting people , including “evangelical”, “catholic” and “traditional” members . We regard this diversity as a strength.
Music for the main services tends to be traditional with hymns from “Hymns & Psalms” with occasional use of New Hymns and Worship songs and other worship songs. The 10.45 Family Praise service is similar in style to the 9.30 Open Door Service.
The “Open Door Service” is short and informal making it accessible to all; it encourages those unfamiliar with services to join worship for example: families of children about to be baptised and couples preparing for marriage. Music is provided on the piano and is supported by a small but enthusiastic singing group, who also occasionally participate in Family Worship. Music is generally taken from “New Hymns and Worship Songs” and combines traditional hymns with more contemporary worship songs.
